Tom is owner of Burr Oak Tree Service in New Harmony with over 100 species available at his nursery, which are primarily native species. Tom offers a variety of forestry services and has developed a unique and patented growing system that results in higher survival rates. (https://buroak.net)

Endangered Beauty of the Midwest--Indiana's Barn Owl

Since the 1980's, the Indiana DNR has installed more than 300 nesting boxes in suitable barn owl habitat. The population of barn owls has been negatively affected by the loss of safe nesting habitat, but barn owl nesting boxes can be used as an alternative safe nesting site. Grace will be discussing the results of the 2022 statewide barn owl nest box surveys, an update on the population, as well as many fun facts about barn owls.
