All programs begin at 7:00pm at Wesselman Nature Center.

Sept 20th, 2011 - "Connecting People with nature and Building Understanding of Southern Indiana's Natural Heritage" by Christian Freitag, Executive Director of the Sycamore Land Trust.

Oct 18th, 2011 - "Introduction to Myxomytes: Biology and Ecology and All We Know That We Don't Know" by Katie Winsett, PhD from the University of Arkansas and Instructor of Science and Biology at the University of Southern Indiana.

Nov 15th, 2011 - "Malaysia 2011 - Pictures from Zoo Negarain Kuala, Lumpur, the Wildlife of Borneo, and Conservation Efforts on the Kinabatangan River" by Jessica Franck, Primate Keeper at Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Gardens and board member of the Evansville Audubon Society.

Dec 20th, 2011 - "Festive Feast and Fotos" - Bring your favorite covered dish per person, table service and drink, slides, photos or flash drives for member show and tell following the feast.

Jan 17th, 2012 - "Bald Eagle, Nature's Survivor" - Learn about this amazing creature's story and where you can see them in our area. Julie McDonald, native of Northern Illinois, naturalist (aka program services supervisor) at John James Audubon State Park.

Feb 21st, 2012 - "Falconry" - Adventures of a local falconer and birder. Mel Lodato, retired teacher, Master Gardener, Master Naturalist, Evansville Audubon Society Board Member, and Board Member of Wesselman nature Society.

Mar 20th, 2012 - "Sounds of Spring" - Frogs and Salamanders of Wesselman Park and Southern Indiana. Tom Cervone, Principal/Director of Environmental Services Bernardin, Lochmueller, and Associates, Inc.

Apr 17th, 2012 - "Caves, Bats, and White Nose Syndrome". Diana barber has been at Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Gardens since 2000 and her duties are many. She has her PhD in Biology from the University of Illinois specializing in the evolution and behavior of mammals, especially bats. She also teaches a class in environmental conservation at USI.

May 15th, 2012 - "Birds and Other Wildlife at Patoka National Wildlife Refuge" by Heath Hamilton, Wildlife Refuge Specialist at Patoka national Wildlife Refuge.

June 19th, 2012 - Spring Picnic at shelter #1. Bring covered dish, table settings, and drink. Following dinner, Tim Griffith, local birder, hike leader, and owner of Wildbirds Unlimited will present "A Birding Surprise". Annual meeting and election of officers will follow the program.
