Ohio Valley Birding Festival

May 1 to May 3, 2008


Join Wesselman Nature Society, Evansville Audubon Society, and Evansville Wild Birds Unlimited for a regional celebration of International Migratory Bird Day! Birders and educators from throughout southwestern Indiana and northwestern Kentucky will be on hand to share the joys of birding with novices and experienced birders alike. Guided hikes, lectures and workshops will be available throughout the festival, May 1 to May 3. 

Discover native and migratory bird species at the location of your choice   .....Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve, Howell Wetlands, John James Audubon State Park, Bluegrass Fish & Wildlife Area, Hovey Lake Fish & Wildlife Area or Patoka River National Wildlife Refuge. 

Meet renowned birding author Stan Tekeila! Saturday, May 3rd is Family Day!  Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve will host a multitude of activities for children and families, including a bird banding demo, a live raptor show, bird related crafts, games and more.
